On Thursday 14th November, SureCare Peterborough celebrated the opening of its new branch in Culley Court in Orton Southgate.

The proud owner and franchise operator of SureCare Peterborough, Rubie Rattan, took centre stage at the official launch. Supported by her parents and SureCare’s dedicated Business Development Managers, Rubie is leading the way in bringing a wide range of quality home care services to Peterborough and the surrounding areas.

A number of high-profile local guests were in attendance at the launch, including the Mayor Gul Nawaz and Julie Howell, Councillor for the Orton Waterville Ward, where SureCare Peterborough’s headquarters are now based.

The launch follows the branch’s recent registration with the Care Quality Commission. This allows SureCare Peterborough to provide personal care and support to people in their own homes. There are multiple services that the SureCare team can provide, including:

  • Caring for adults under 65 yrs
  • Caring for adults over 65 yrs
  • Dementia
  • Learning disabilities
  • Physical disabilities
  • Sensory impairments
  • Domestic Cleaning
  • Companionship care
  • Personal shopping
  • Gardening Services

SureCare Peterborough’s newly appointed Registered Care Manager, Kayleigh Cooper, was also at the launch as she will play an integral role in the franchise’s operations. Through her CQC registration, it’s Kayleigh’s job to ensure that the team of care workers deliver consistently high standards and quality of care.

Speaking at the launch, franchise owner Rubie said: “Today is an extremely proud day for me and my team. We have worked tirelessly to get to this point. I can’t thank my family and friends enough for their ongoing support and a massive thank you to my registered care manager, Kayleigh Cooper.”

Looking ahead to what the future holds, she continued: “We aim to be one of Peterborough’s leading providers of personal home care and support. We will do this by employing and training care staff to the highest quality standards and also providing respect, encouragement and development for all that work at SureCare Peterborough. We envisage being a large employer within Peterborough and our aim is to have at least 30 fully trained care staff by March 2020 with a further 30 hired and trained before next Christmas.”

Testimonials

"I have worked in Care Sector as a Senior Social Worker over 16 years and I am therefore fully aware that the compliance, quality assurance and legislative framework are very complex and time consuming. I chose a SureCare franchise to tackle time consuming issues so that I am able to concentrate on business development, relationship building, market growth and staff training. I now have more than 109 service users and, with the support of SureCare, our weekly hours have more than tripled in 18 months and we are looking to double them again by summer 2017."

Sami Haider, Southend

"I started off as a carer and then worked as a manager in the office of a care franchise, so I chose a franchise when I decided to start my own business. Care is heavily regulated and when I started the regulations were in flux, so I wanted the support of a franchisor. I’ve now got about 100 service users and have built up a team of 40 staff. I need much less franchisor support now, but it’s always there if needed and I talk regularly with other franchisees. We swap tips, advice and ideas so the franchise comes with a useful network."
