Meet the Team

At the heart of SureCare, our Head Office management team comprises of highly experienced individuals, bringing together their collective knowledge and expertise from different areas of business.

Above all else, our team is passionate about the care sector and well versed in the franchise industry; both of which are crucial to SureCare’s ongoing operation. However, with key members coming from a variety of different backgrounds, our business is led by a strong, all-round team that covers business development, sales and marketing, financial control, customer service and quality assurance from the likes of Ofsted and the CQC.



Company Management

Gary Farrer
Managing Director

Gary is one of the UK’s most successful care industry entrepreneurs. Heading up the SureCare team, he previously owned the integrated care provider Safehands Group which, together with his wife Stephanie, he built into a £5.5 million turnover business before selling at the end of 2011.

He most enjoys rolling up his sleeves and working closely with franchisees to help them build the best possible business.

Tracy Newcombe
National Operations Director

Tracy heads up the SureCare support team as Operations Director. She is ideally placed to support our branches having worked in the care sector for more than 30 years. She is responsible for overall support to our franchise network as well as ensuring our company owned branches are successful.

Josh Farrer
National Franchise Sales Manager

Josh has wealth of experience in Sales and Marketing. As Franchise Recruitment Manager, his key focus is to recruit applicants with the drive and determination to exceed customers’ expectations and build a successful SureCare Franchise business.

He offers important advice and guidance to franchise applicants, so they can develop the knowledge and confidence to establish successful businesses.


Carolyn Griffiths
General Manager & PA to MD

Carolyn is the General Manager overseeing operations at SureCare’s Head Office. She is the primary point of contact on a range of operational queries for new and existing franchisees. It is also her responsibility to ensure that operations at our Head Office run smoothly and that all visitors are looked after in true SureCare style.

Emily Norman
PA to Operations Director

Emily joined SureCare in February 2024 to support the Operations Director, and the wider Head Office team, with a range of different administrative and support tasks as part of the franchise onboarding process and beyond. She has worked in Administration and Customer Support roles for more than 10 years, but it’s as a Personal Assistant where she thrives on handling multiple tasks and enquiries in a fast-paced environment.

Ashleigh Farrer
Franchise & Clearance Support Officer

Ashleigh joined SureCare in January 2024 to provide additional assistance in the franchise recruitment process. Her role involves vetting the suitability of potential franchisees and handling the relevant administration in the early stages of the onboarding process. Previously, she worked as qualified primary school teacher since 2014, enabling her to develop key skills in attention to detail and effective and efficient communication.



Franchise & Business Management

Rachel Gallagher
National Onboarding Manager

Rachel provides invaluable support to SureCare’s new franchisees in their initial onboarding journey with us. She has nearly 2 decades worth of experience in the care sector, including successfully launching our flagship company-owned branch in Chester in 2014. Today, she utilises her expertise to assist our franchisees in emulating the same successes when launching their own home care businesses.

Stuart Spinks
Business Development Manager (North East)

Stuart brings to SureCare a vast career spanning decades in recruitment – a large part of that specifically in the Health and Social Care sector. He has also previously been a Registered Manager for a domiciliary care branch and is, therefore, ideally placed to support franchisees in our network.

Imran Sabir
Business Development Manager (South)

Imran has previously worked in the Medical & Healthcare industry within a Sales capacity for 20 years. He has extensive knowledge and a good understanding of the processes that are in place and how the industry works, alongside experience in distribution, infection control, capital equipment and wound care industries. At SureCare, he supports our Franchise operators across the South of England with valuable guidance and advice.


Jonathan Bennett
Business Development Manager (North West)

Jonathan provides advice and guidance for SureCare franchises operating in the North West of England. Previously, he has supported the Pharmaceutical Industry and Home Care sectors for 30 years, working in procurement and distribution of pharmaceutical goods for people receiving treatments in their own homes. He holds a dual Honours Degree in Biochemistry and Physiology and is also a Full Member of the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (MCIPS).

Sue Dixon
Business Development Executive (South West)

Sue has worked in the care sector for over decade, both as a care assistant in the field and as an office-based supervisor. She has gained considerable experience in care worker recruitment and training, but soon found a keen interest in business development. Here at SureCare, she works alongside the regional Business Development Manager, Imran, to provide additional support and direction for our franchisees based in the South of England.

Oyinda Olusanya
Care Compliance Co-ordinator

Oyinda joined our support team in March 2022 to support our national franchisees in ensuring their compliance with all regulatory standards. With a wealth of experience in the care sector, she has already been key in the success of our SureCare franchisees, maintaining their high standards of compliance and supporting with inspection preparation.


Harriet Woodcock
Operations Manager (First Call Community Systems)

Harriet joined SureCare in September 2018 at our Chester branch, before moving on to National Training Manager in December 2019. She now oversees operations for SureCare’s company-owned branches. She has over 20 years’ experience working within the care sector, including extensive knowledge in using and training staff on our nominated rostering and training systems.



Head Office Operations

Tracy Banks
Accounts Relationship Manager

Tracy has worked in a number of roles for SureCare since 2006, including having responsibility for the SureCare’s Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS). She is presently the first point of contact for prospective franchisees, providing relevant information about SureCare and our franchising opportunities. She is also involved with the Finance Team as the Accounts Relationship Manager, ensuring timely payments of client invoices.

Andrea Hutson
Financial Accountant

Andrea has worked for 20 years as an Accountant, primarily within the care sector. Joining SureCare in December 2013, she has improved internal accounting systems and controls, and continues to provide support and management information to non-finance Managers and to produce timely and accurate monthly accounts.

Barbara Lowe
Admin Assistant

Barbara joined SureCare in January 2024 to assist with various operations in our Chester Head Office. With over 20 years’ experience in hospitality and customer relations, she is primarily based at our reception desk to greet visitors for both Head Office and our Chester care branch. She also supports staff with various office tasks, which include answering telephones, filing paperwork and preparing for meetings.


Debi Mullett
Assistant Management Accountant

Debi is a member of our Head Office finance team. She provides additional support to the Financial Accountant when it comes to producing monthly accounts in an accurate and timely manner. Before joining SureCare in September 2023, she had previously gained a great deal of experience from more than 25 years working within the Financial sector.

Melanie Thomas
Group Payroll Officer

Melanie joined SureCare in November 2023, bringing with her over 20 years of experience working in Payroll and Pensions. Her role is to assist our franchisees at branches across the UK with the setup of their payroll requirements, including HMRC and Employer Pension compliance. On top of that, she ensures all employees at branches across our franchise network are paid accurately and on time.

Christine Thorpe
Operations Assistant

Christine joined SureCare in 2016 as our Operations Assistant. Her role includes general admin support for SureCare franchisees and she regularly assists Head Office colleagues in maintaining operations run smoothly. She has also assisted with our digital operations to ensure website content for individual franchisees is up to date as required.


Alan Carmichael
Digital Marketing Manager

Alan is a Business Technology Graduate with ten years’ experience in the IT and technology sector. He holds a Masters Degree in Digital Marketing and is enthusiastic about SEO, PPC, Marketing Technology, Social Media and Web Development. He takes great pride in getting strong results from minimal investment.

Jamie Walsh
Digital Content Manager

Jamie is responsible for maintaining and updating the content across SureCare’s website for Head Office and franchisees in our network. He also assists with writing creative copy to be used across our digital platforms and he holds an undergraduate degree in Creative Writing to support this.
